Tonight, February 22 at 10:30PM "The After Party" is thrilled to welcome Karmine Alers (Rent) to the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Admission is free!

Born and raised in Spanish Harlem, Karmine Alers attended New York's LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts. Karmine was an original member of the band "3rd Party," which released an album with A&M Records.  Karmine's television appearances include "Live with Regis and Kelly," "The RuPaul Show," "The Jenny Jones Show," and "Today." Currently a cast member of Broadway's Rent, Karmine's other theatre credits include Off-Broadway's It's My Party, the national tour of Rent, and a regional production of Disney's Aida. Karmine's solo album, "For You," was just released and is available at www.KarmineAlers.com.

Hosted by Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umpress, featuring Lisa Asher with Ray Fellman at the piano, "The After Party" is held every Friday night at 10:30PM at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Café (407 West 42nd St., NYC). Also, coming this Sunday, February 24, The Laurie Beechman Theatre is pleased to welcome you to "Oscars at the Beech" to view the Oscars with friends on our big screen! The Red Carpet Arrivals are at 7PM with the Ceremony at 8PM.

Hosted by Brandon Cutrell of "The After Party" with performances of Oscar nominated songs by Kristy Cates (Wicked), Michelle Dowdy (Hairspray), David Gurland (MAC and Bistro Award winner), Kitty Hiccups, Kenny Holcomb, Mary Ann Schaub and Alysha Umphress (Make Me a Song).

Join us this Sunday for a great evening of stars and glamour. Will it be Depp or Clooney? Blanchett or Linney? Juno or Atonement? Free Popcorn!

There is no cover charge for this event, and there is a $15 food and/or beverage minimum. A full dinner and bar menu is available. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within The West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd St. (@ 9th Ave)
