SERGE AND FRIENDS Vol. 6: ROCK ROYALTY to Return to Gramercy Theatre
Music director Mike Stapleton leads an all-alumni cast including Drew Arisco, Alia Hodge, and Jessica Kundla.
Serge Clivio returns to New York City's legendary Gramercy Theatre with the 6th iteration of his hit concert series, SERGE AND FRIENDS. Volume 6 will see him taking on music from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is titled Rock Royalty.
Serge is joined again by co-creator and Music Director, Mike Stapleton (Days of Wine and Roses, Encores! The Wild Party, Floyd Collins) and the all-star SERGE AND FRIENDS band from around the country.
When asked about what we can expect this year from the show, he said "It is no secret that I love Rock & Roll music. I think that it's probably the genre we perform best as a group. Getting another chance to play Gramercy Theatre allows me to have a more fully-formed, proper Rock & Roll show. I feel like shows past have been 'Rock Lite.' Well, not this time! We are going to give it to you this time. I'm so excited!"
Of course, it wouldn't be the annual concert without a rotating group of Serge's closest friends. This year sees an all-alumni cast of shows past. Alexa Lebersfeld and Michael Mahady return as special guests and part the band, serving as the trusty background vocalists. Fan favorites Drew Arisco, Alia Hodge, Jessica Kundla and Daniel Scott Walton all return to share the stage with Clivio. Newcomers from last year, Emily Royer and Tyler Whitaker receive a well-deserved renewal and will return again.
This marks the 6th year of the concert series that has been coined as a "New York City Staple" by BroadwayWorld. Since its first iteration in 2019, Serge and the show have released an album, picked up sponsorships from Mastercard to Live Nation and have grown in audience each year. The various shows have received positive reviews from audience members and critics alike, often praising Serge for his "superhero-like stamina" and "unique genre-shifting vocal ability." The Boston Globe said that Serge "reinvents the cover song" with his SERGE AND FRIENDS (Vol. 1-3): The Recording Sessions album.

As always, SERGE AND FRIENDS is partnering with Memorial Sloan Kettering's Cancer Research Center, a cause that helped save Serge's life a few years ago, to raise awareness around their important mission of funding Cancer Research.
