Robyn Hurder Joins Joe Traina Quintet This Week at Sardi's
The 5-piece Jazz Band, Joe Traina and his Quintet, featuring vocalists from Broadway shows continue sing material from the Great American Songbook in an 8 week run at Sardi's (234 West 44th Street) every Tuesday, two sets from 9:30PM to 12midnight. This week's special guest is Robyn Hurder (Marty in Grease).
The performances, arranged by producer Steve Garrin, promise to keep patrons entertained while providing a festive atmosphere at the Broadway eatery. The 5-piece group recently appeared at The Rainbow Room to sold-out audiences.
Traina's third CD of jazz standards entitled "Tea For Two" was released in December 2006 and features instrumentals of great American jazz standards as well, including four vocals from former Cab Calloway Orchestra & Rainbow Room song-stylist Jennifer Johns.
There is no cover charge to attend the performances; however there is a $35 food and drink minimum. For reservations or more information, the public can call Sardi's at 212-221-8440. Established in 1921, Sardi's remains New York City's legendary hub of the theater district.
