Photos: UPTOWN MAMAS Benefit Sells Out Green Room 42, Raises $5K for Domestic Violence Shelter
Grammy winner Ian Axel joined Broadway and Met Opera artists for the second annual cabaret, directed by Laura Brandel.
The Green Room 42 was filled to capacity on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, 2026, as the second annual Uptown Mamas: A Benefit for Moms In Need celebrated motherhood, parenthood, community, and the power of artists coming together in support of survivors of domestic violence. See photos from the event here.
Created and produced by Kailee Graham and co-produced by her husband, Jonathan Dinklage, the sold-out evening raised more than $5,000 for Safe Horizon’s Uptown Domestic Violence Shelter.
The mission of Uptown Mamas was to create a performance space for artist parents while advocating for survivors of domestic violence through fundraising and awareness. Directed by Laura Brandel, with music direction by Jodie Moore, the one-night-only cabaret featured artist parents from Broadway, the Metropolitan Opera, Off-Broadway, national tours, musical theater writers, and singer-songwriters. Special guest Ian Axel, Grammy Award-winning member of A Great Big World, was among the evening’s featured performers.
Performers included Michelle Dawson, Jennafer Newberry, Pearl Sun, Laura D’Andre, Bianca Horn, Grace Morgan and Daniel Berryman, Sara Wordsworth and Chelsea Wordsworth, Maria D’Amato and Dimitrie Lazich, Alison Mahoney, Anna Parks and Adam Kornreich, Alexis Field, Kailee Graham, Emily Jewell, Kristen Gehling, Amy Crawford and Jared Schonig, Timothy Huang, Dana Feinberg-Gerard, and Jodie Moore with her daughters, Hattie Cecelia Tutalo and Sofia Tutalo.
The band featured Jodie Moore (Music Director), Anja Wood (Cello), Richard Hammond (Bass), Sean McDaniel (Drums), Jonathan Dinklage (Violin), and Adam Kornreich (Guitar), with music preparation by Patrick Fanning.
With a sold-out audience and an unforgettable evening of music, Uptown Mamas: A Benefit for Moms In Need once again demonstrated the extraordinary impact artists can make when they come together to support mothers and families in need.
