FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY has extended its current engagement of Two time Grammy Award winning singing legend, actress and songwriter Petula Clark. Her run – originally schedule to end on Saturday, February 4 – will now play to Saturday, February 11. Ms. Clark’s show has added three additional performances on Thursday, February 9; Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11, all at 8:00 PM. Making her first New York nightclub engagement since the 1970s, Ms. Clark is performing her chart-topping pop hits like “Downtown,” “I Know A Place” and “My Love,” as well as highlights from her stage and screen roles in Sunset Boulevard and Finian’s Rainbow. Immediately after her run at Feinstein’s, she will fly down under for a 15 day concert tour of Australia.

About the artist: Petula Clark, the legendary pop singer who also starred on stage and screen, has sold over 70 million records. She was honored with the prestigious CBE by her Majesty the Queen of England. Ms. Clark first broke into the limelight during World War II when as a child she entertained the troops, both on radio and in concert. She performed over 200 shows for the forces all over England before the age of nine. In 1944, Petula made her first movie and has since appeared in over 30 British and American films. She started making hit records in her teens, and by the mid-sixties was recording in French, German and Italian.

In 1964, English songwriter Tony Hatch was visiting Petula at her apartment in Paris and played her a new song called “Downtown.” Two weeks later they recorded it in London. The song quickly became #1 worldwide, winning Petula her first Grammy Award. It was rapidly followed by “I Know A Place” and another Grammy. Tony went on to write 15 Top-40 songs for Petula, recording in London, LA and New York.

In the sixties, she starred in two Hollywood musicals, Finian's Rainbow and Goodbye Mr. Chips, opposite Fred Astaire and Peter O'Toole. She also starred in her own TV series on BBC and various television specials in America. She’s also had success as a country recording star with the Top 10 hit, “Natural Love.”

Her first love, though, is live performance, and as a solo artist sells out concert halls worldwide, including regular engagements in Las Vegas. But she also enjoys working as part of a team in the theater appearing on Broadway and the West End in such roles as Maria in The Sound Of Music (London), Someone Like You (for which she wrote the music), Blood Brothers (Broadway and US tour) and Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard (London and US tour).

She has just completed a new French CD, including a song she co-wrote with Charles Aznavour. She is now preparing new material for a CD in English.

FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY will present Petula Clark with the following schedule for the remainder of the engagement: Wednesday, February 1 through Saturday, February 4 at 8:00 PM with additional Friday and Saturday shows this weekend at 10:30 PM. Extra performances have been added on Thursday, February 9; Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11, all at 8:00 PM. All shows have a $60.00 cover with $75.00 premium seats and $95.00 up-front seats available, in addition to a $40 food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required.
