Jim Caruso's Cast Party and TheaterMania.com are proud to announce Natalie Douglas in Cafe Society Monday, April 14, 2008 at 7:00pm, as part of the long-running concert series Broadway at Birdland.

Critically acclaimed six-time MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) and the 2008 Nightlife Award Winner, Natalie Douglas will make her 9th appearance as part of Jim Caruso's Broadway at Birdland series with an all new show, Café Society. Douglas  'performance will be a celebration of the songs of the '30s & '40s and pay homage to the legendary New York City nightclub that bore the name, Café Society nearly seventy years after its doors opened to the Greenwich Village basement. Douglas, with her longtime musical director and arranger – Avenue Q's Mark Hartman - and her band of Broadway All-Stars, will recreate the era, the atmosphere and the music in a not-to-be-missed evening of Cole, Lena, Duke and Ella.

Award winning Vocalist, Natalie Douglas, brings years of experience to the stage. Douglas has received the 1998 and 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005 MAC Awards for Outstanding Jazz Vocalist and was nominated for ten straight years. She has also received the Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Female Vocalist.

Natalie Douglas' most recent CD, "To Nina...Live At Birdland" has been released to critical acclaim and selections from the CD continue to be featured on NPR, Sirius Rado and XM Radio. Her debut CD, "Not That Different", currently in its third printing, was another MAC nominee in 2000 and was recommended on NBC's Weekend Today Show as an ideal CD for romance. She also featured vocally on "Fine and Dandy" for PS Classics and "Broadway By The Year: 1940" on Bayview Records. Douglas' work as an actor includes many theatrical productions including the aTrainplays (series 5-22) with The Neighborhood Playhouse, Hillside in Hell with 13th Street Rep and was a featured soloist at the York Theatre Company's benefit production of Children Of Eden at Riverside Church.
