Tonight, Friday February 1 at 10:30PM, "The After Party" is thrilled to welcome Katrina Rose Dideriksen and Luke Grooms, from the recent production of Jerry Springer: The Opera - In Concert, plus 2007 Ed Kleban Award Winner and 2006 Jonathan Larson Award winner Joe Iconis!

Katrina Rose Dideriksen performed the role of Shawntel, the pole dancer, in the New York City debut of Jerry Springer: The Opera at Carnegie Hall.  She was seen in the B'way, 1st Nat'l Tour and Vegas productions of Hairspray as Tracy Turnblad. Most recently, Katrina completed a run as Genevieve in Bernice Bobs Her Mullet written by Joe Major as well as a reading of Hurricane (as Lil) written by Michael Holland. Her favorite ongoing gig is performing in "Things To Ruin: The Songs of Joe Iconis.'

Luke Grooms performed the roles of Dwight and God in the New York City debut of Jerry Springer: The Opera at Carnegie Hall. Also this season, Mr. Grooms will join The Metropolitan Opera roster as a cover in The Gambler by Prokofiev, and perform the role of Fante in Opera Orchestra of New York's concert of Verdi's I Due Foscari at Carnegie Hall, and will cover the roles of Barbagio (I Due Foscari), and Elivino (La Sonnambula) also with Opera Orchestra of New York. Grooms has also worked for some of the most respected opera companies in the industry, including Chautauqua Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Opera North, Sarasota Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Operafestival di Roma, Dicapo Opera Theatre, and Opera orchestra of New York. He has also worked for New York City Opera, Opera Company of the Highlands, Opera Company of Brooklyn, Regina Opera, Cantiamo Opera Theatre, Chelsea Opera, Baltimore Opera, Empire Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and National Lyric Opera. Luke's training includes a B.A. in Music from Emory and Henry College, and a M.M. in Voice from The University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music.

2007 Ed Kleban Award Winner and 2006 Jonathan Larson Award Winner, Joe Iconis is is an NYU grad and the proud recipient of a 2007 Kleban Award and a 2006 Larson Award. Joe is the author of the bastard child garage band rock musical The Black Suits (music and lyrics by Joe, book by Joe and Robert Maddock) and (for TheaterWorksUSA, opening at the Lucille Lortel in July.)  He is the composer in residence at Ars Nova.
