Cook & Collins Return to Cafe Carlyle; Cross Debuts

The Carlyle Hotel announces two return engagements and one very exciting debut engagement for the 2008 Winter/Spring season in the newly restored Café Carlyle.

On Tuesday, January 22 (playing through March 1), the legendary Judy Collins will return to open a six-week engagement.  She will, of course, sing her most loved songs including "Send in the Clowns," "Amazing Grace" and "Chelsea Morning," and will also offer songs from her most recent recording Judy Collins Sings Lennon and McCartney.  The performance schedule for Ms. Collins will be: Tuesday – Saturday at 8:45 p.m.  There is a $125 music charge for all performances. Dinner is required.

Barbara Cook, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday with concerts in London, Los Angeles and most recently with the New York Philharmonic, returns on Tuesday, March 4 (playing through April 12) to present an all new program.  This six-week engagement  will mark Ms. Cook's  27th appearance in the venue.  The performance schedule for Ms. Cook will be as follows: Tuesday – Thursday at 8:45 p.m. - $90 music charge; Friday- Saturday at 8:45 p.m. - $125 music charge; Saturday at 10:45 p.m.- $100 music charge.

Making his Café Carlyle debut beginning Tuesday, April 15 (playing through May 10), will be five-time Grammy Award-winner Christopher Cross.  Best known for his 1980 Oscar and Grammy-winning song "Arthur's Theme" (Best That You Can Do), Mr. Cross and his band will offer such other memorable hits as "Sailing," "Ride Like the Wind," and "Never Be The Same." The Café Carlyle will never be the same! The performance schedule for Mr. Cross will be: Tuesday – Thursday at 8:45 p.m. - $65 music charge; Friday and Saturday at 8:45 p.m. & 10:45 p.m. - $75 music charge.
