March 3 and March 24, are the final Cabaret Cares shows at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, completing its successful run with the guest casts of The Color Purple and The Little Mermaid. Cabaret Cares is the ongoing benefit series produced by Joseph Macchia, to raise funds for two AIDS organizations in New York.

The series brings together the best of the Broadway and cabaret community to raise funds for Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS and Help Is On The Way Today. Broadway Cares is the nations leading industry based AIDS grant making organization. The Other organization Help Is On The Way Today is a brand new non-for-profit that helps and assists children living with HIV and AIDS.

In 2005 Cabaret Cares raised over $9000.00 for Broadway Cares Producer Joseph Macchia is hoping to see that number grown this year. The series will conclude with a Gala Event on April 7 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre when performers from all the past shows come back to perform. The evening will include a cocktail hour,dinner,show and gift bags for everyone attending
