ABOUT THE PLAYS:

NINETEEN YEARS LATER OR; THERE AND BACK AGAIN: A PUFFS TALE PARTS 1 & 3

It's maybe kind of okay being Megan Jones and Oliver Rivers now that they're reliably employed wizard adults and the parents of one school-age child. While Megan and Oliver suddenly grapple with familiar faces from their past, their son Wayne Rivers-Jones is discovering that A Certain School of Magic and Magic is still an incredibly dangerous place for unsupervised children to be. As past and present begin to intermingle, all are confronted with an unexpected circumstance: he's baaaaack and now he has a kid.

DUDE, WHERE'S MY FANTASTIC BEAST?

OR; 30 SHORT FILMS ABOUT MAGICAL NEW YORK IN 1926 WHEN A

PUFF CAME FOR A QUICK VISIT AND THE DISASTER THAT FOLLOWED

FILM 1 OF 5

A surprise dark wizard running rampant across Europe, rising tensions in the American wizard community, strange haircuts, a man who just wants to open a bakery, beasts who may or may not be fantastical, and lots of twenties jargon all chaotically collide when an awkward British zoologist tries to take a trip to Arizona. Puffs playwright Matt cox makes his screenwriting debut in this collection of short films about magical life in a simpler time.

ABOUT THE BANDS:

DRACO AND THE MALFOYS sing songs about Harry Potter from Draco Malfoy's perspective. Formed in 2005 as a "one time joke," they have released five full-length albums and an EP and played over 200 shows at libraries, conventions, pizza shops, an indoor soccer arena, a cruise ship and other venues. They have been featured on MTV, Fuse, Entertainment Weekly and more. Their blend of witty humor and love for music has earned them regular appearances at many Harry Potter and other geeky conferences. One of their favorite reviews called them, "old enough to know better." www.evilwizardrock.com

SWISH AND FLICK is a New York based duo that makes hip hop and dance music with comedic, irreverent bawdy lyrics inspired by the Harry Potter books, Harry Potter films, and Harry Potter fandom. Their danceable brand of wizard rock has made them a perennial favorite at fan conventions, concert venues and parties since their inception in 2008. SWISH, a.k.a. Stacey Pisani, is the lyricist and producer of Swish and Flick. When Swish wrocks out, she is the embodiment of Slytherin student Astoria Greengrass, the character who JK Rowling later married off to Draco Malfoy. Swish raps about her extracurricular activites at Hogwarts such as snogging boys (and girls), sneaking out at night to have torried affairs with Death Eaters, drinking firewhiskey, getting into fights and engaging in general debauchery. FLICK, a.k.a John Pisani, is the guitarist of the duo, rocks a mean vocoder, and is a veritable wizard with music recording software.

PUFFS - presented by TILTED WINDMILLS THEATRICALS - runs through March 26, 2017 at The Elektra Theater (300 West 43rd Street). The show takes a second look at everyone's favorite world of wizards through the eyes of the Puffs, a lovable group of magical misfits. The sold-out sensation ran at New York's Peoples Improv Theater from December 2015 through August 2016 and was called "a fast paced romp" by The New York Times. PUFFS is written by Matt cox and directed by Kristin McCarthy Parker.

Some people are born with the capacity to do great things. Some people change the world. Some people rise from humble beginnings to defeat the forces of darkness in the face of insurmountable odds. PUFFS is the story of the people who sit in class next to those people. Meet Wayne, a very average boy from New Mexico, who finds out he is a wizard... also, wizards are real. Join him and his new friends as they try to keep their heads down and get a basic wizarding education while a certain other famous boy with a very peculiarly shaped scar on his forehead sets out to make life at school increasingly... eventful.

The full company features Langston Belton, Madeleine Bundy, Jessie Cannizzaro, Nick Carrillo, Anna Dart, A.J. Ditty, Julie Ann Earls, James Fouhey, Jake Keefe, Andy Miller, Zac Moon, Eleanor Philips and Stephen Stout. PUFFS has production design by Liz Blessing and Madeleine Bundy, lighting design by Michelle Kelleher, costume design by Madeleine Bundy, sound design by Matt cox and original music by Brian Hoes. Jumpstart Entertainment serves as general manager.

The show is produced by Tilted Windmills Theatricals, Stamatios Tom Hiotis, John Paterakis, George Stephanopoulos and Jonathan Feinsilver, in association with GG Entertainment, Invisible Wall Productions and Eric Kelhoffer, and Stephen Stout and Colin Waitt. It was originally produced at The Peoples Improv Theater by Stephen Stout and Colin Waitt, and developed in part during a residency with the University of Florida, School of Theatre + Dance, Jerry Dickey, School Director.

PUFFS or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic is performed on Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 9:30 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM. The show is at The Elektra Theater (300 West 43rd Street, New York, NY 10036). Tickets, which are available at www.PuffsthePlay.com, are $51.50-$61.50 with $76.50 premium seats available. Premium seats with a t-shirt are $79.50.
