Whoopi Goldberg Stands Up for Jesse James

Jesse James is getting heat from every side of the pop culture and tabloid news world, rightfully so, so it might have come as a bit of a surprise to the 'Monster Garage' star that 'The View's' co-host Whoopi Goldberg defended him during a Hot Topics segment, reports E! Online.

James and wife Sandra Bullock's marital woes came up during a recent 'View' segment, leading Goldberg to step in and admit to cheating during her marriages, too.

"It's nobody's fault. Maybe he was looking for something different," Goldberg said. "Hey, listen, I did it five or six times... Yes, I screwed around. Yes, while I was married. I made those mistakes, too, yeah. It happens sometimes."

With Goldberg helping out James, the Oscar-winning actress riding an emotional roller coaster at the moment has been getting support from fellow actor George Lopez, who recently visited Bullock's home for a second time, reports People.com.

When asked how Bullock is holding up, Lopez simply said, "She's all right."
