WORLD OF DANCE Is Biggest Regular-Slot Debut of 2017 to Date

The series premiere of WORLD OF DANCE (2.4/9 in 18-49, 9.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) is the #1 premiere of 2017 on the broadcast nets in 18-49 and total viewers (excluding previews) and also the top regular-slot debut on the Big 4 networks in both measures since Premiere Week last fall (in 18-49 since "This Is Us," 2.8 on Sept. 20, 2016, and in total viewers since "MacGyver," 10.7 million on Sept. 23, 2016). Is the top series debut for a summer alternative show on cable or broadcast in five years (since NBC's "American Ninja Warrior," 2.4 on May 21, 2012). Is the most-watched summer alternative series debut across cable or broadcast in nine years (since ABC's "Wipeout, June 24, 2008). Is NBC's most-watched summer series debut in nearly 10 years, since "The Singing Bee" on July 10, 2007 (13.3 million). The show, which features Jennifer LOPEZ as a coach and executive producer, soars +71% versus NBC's average in the timeslot last summer (2.4 vs. 1.4, L+SD, non-sports). Dominates the time period in every key category, doubling the combined ABC-CBS competition in all key demographics.

The 12th season debut of "America's Got Talent" (2.6/10 in 18-49, 12.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET): Delivers the show's most-watched season premiere in six years (since May 31, 2011, 15.3 million). Retains 100% of the show's year-ago premiere in 18-49 (2.6 vs. 2.6) and grows +3% in total viewers (12.067 million vs. 11.667 million). Dominates the time period in all key measures. Increases by +43% from its first half-hour to its fourth in adult 18-49 rating (from a 2.1 to a 3.0). Will add significant viewership via time-shifting - last summer, the Tuesday "Talent" increased by +30% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.47 to a 3.20) and +2.5 million viewers overall (11.7 million to 14.2 million) going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven day" Nielsens.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.1/6 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.8/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
