By: Caryn Robbins
Cedar Fort Entertainment announced today that it will be releasing "Wayward: The Prodigal Son," on Nov. 7, 2014, in over 25 select faith-based markets.
"Wayward: The Prodigal Son," tells the story of Tyler McMillan, a pampered rich kid who gets it all and almost loses everything, including his own life. "We all know someone who has GONE astray," said Spencer Harden, the film acquisition manager at Cedar Fort. "Every parent hopes it won't happen to their child, but they grow up with minds of their own." With all the success of films like "God's Not Dead" ($60 million box office) and "Heaven is for Real" ($91 million box office), more theaters want films with moral messages and faith-related themes. "Film buyers are booking 'Wayward: The Prodigal Son' in many faith-based markets," said Harden. "We have locked in many theaters in Utah, Upstate New York, South Carolina, and California, to name a few." According to Harden, new markets and theaters are coming on board every day.About "Wayward: The Prodigal Son"
