The film held its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and marks Travolta's feature directorial debut.
The trailer has been unveiled for Propeller One-Way Night Coach, a new Apple film written, directed, narrated and produced by two-time Academy Award nominee, Golden Globe and Emmy winner, John Travolta.
Set in the golden age of aviation, the movie follows a young airplane enthusiast, Jeff (played by newcomer Clark Shotwell), and his mother (Kelly Eviston-Quinnett), who set off on a one-way cross-country odyssey to Hollywood, which transforms a simple flight into the trip of a lifetime.
Between airline meals, flight attendants (played by Ella Bleu Travolta and Olga Hoffmann), unexpected stopovers, larger-than-life passengers, and a thrilling glimpse at first class, the airborne journey unfolds in moments both magical and unexpected, charting the course for the boy’s future.
A film for all ages, Propeller One-Way Night Coach held its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and will debut globally on Apple TV Friday, May 29, 2026.
An Apple Original Film, Propeller One-Way Night Coach is a production of John Travolta’s JTP Films Inc, and Kids At Play. The film is produced by John Travolta of JTP Productions, in addition to Jason Berger and Amy Laslett of Kids at Play. This marks Travolta’s feature directorial debut.
As an acotr, John Travolta is a two-time Oscar nominee for his performances in Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction. Some of his other major roles include Carrie, Urban Cowboy, and Blow Out, as well as Grease and Hairspray, both based on Broadway musicals.
