Lopez-Cepero's Broadway and New York credits include American Idiot (Original Cast), The Public Theater's Concert staging of The Capeman at the Delacorte in Central Park. National Tour- Evita (Che), American Idiot. Regional- The Pirates of Penzance (Frederick) Chicago's Marriott Theatre, World Premiere of American Idiot at Berkeley Rep, Les Miserables (Marius) Fulton Theater, World Premiere of Saint-Ex (Jean Mermoz) Weston Theater, West Side Story (Tony), Grease (Danny). On television, he has appeared in Vegas and Blue Bloods.

Omar has had the privilege of working alongside Paul Simon in The Capeman and with Billie Joe Armstrong and rock band Green Day in American Idiot, which led to performances on The Grammy's, The Tony's, Late Night with David Letterman, and America's Got Talent.
