The highly anticipated new musical Waitress, opened April 24, 2016 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Waitress played a sold out limited engagement at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.

Based upon the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress is the first Broadway musical in history to have four women in the four top creative team spots, with book by Jessie Nelson, score by five-time Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, choreography by Lorin Latarro and direction by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus. The production also features a female music supervisor (Nadio DiGiallonardo), costume designer (Suttirat Larlarb), technical supervisor (Hillary Blanken of Juniper Street Productions), lead producers (Fran Weissler, Elayne Herrick) and executive producer (Alecia Parker).
Waitress stars Jessie Mueller as Jenna, with Eric Anderson (Cal), Nick Cordero(Earl), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie),Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Kimiko Glenn (Dawn),Dakin Matthews (Joe), Keala Settle (Becky) and Charity Angél Dawson, Thay Floyd, Molly Hager, Aisha Jackson, Jeremy Morse, Ragan Pharris, Stephanie Torns and Ryan Vasquez.

Jenna (Jessie Mueller) is a Waitress and expert pie maker stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage. Faced with an unexpected pregnancy, Jenna fears she may have to abandon the dream of opening her own pie shop forever... until a baking CONTEST in a nearby county and the town's handsome new doctor offer her a tempting recipe for happiness. Supported by her quirky crew of fellow Waitresses and loyal customers, Jenna summons the secret ingredient she's been missing all along - courage.

The design team features set by three-time Tony Award-winner Scott Pask, costumes by Suttirat Larlarb, lighting by Tony Award-winner Christopher Akerlind and sound by Tony Award-nominee Jonathan Deans.
