VIDEO: Rumors Arise of a Long-Awaited Sequel to THE GOONIES

Director Richard Donner told TMZ that there is a long-awaited sequel in the works for The Goonies. He didn't say when the production will begin, but he hopes that the original cast will come back for it. However, it is unsure whether they will come back as cameos, or if the film will follow their stories 28 years later. Check below for the video where Donner makes the announcement!

The Goonies (1985) tells the adventurous story of a group of suburban kids who, with the help of a secret pirate's map, find themselves in an underground world of caves, booby traps, crooks and a befriending a tortured monster, Sloth.
