MTV and Major League Baseball (MLB) today announced that Washington Nationals All-Star Bryce Harper will be the first in-studio guest for "Off the Bat from the MLB Fan Cave," as he is set to join series hosts Sway, Fat Joe, Chris Distefano and Melanie Iglesias at the MLB Fan Cave in New York City for the debut episode premiering on MTV2 on Tuesday, April 1 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. Tuesday's "Off the Bat" will also feature 2013 World Series MVP and series Executive Producer David Ortiz, Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton and a segment in which Distefano visits retirees to get advice for New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter. "Off the Bat" is where MLB players will share their love for pop culture and entertainment, while fans will gain behind-the-scenes access to the biggest stars in the game. In order to celebrate the start of the 2014 season and the launch of "Off the Bat," MTV and MLB will host an Opening Day Block Party On Sunday, March 30 from 1:00 p.m. To 5:00 p.m. ET in New York City on 4th Street between Broadway and Lafayette Street. The free party will feature celebrity guests and a street fair atmosphere full of food, games and raffles.
