Twins Ian & Matthew Fairlee Team Up For THE VERY GOOD SHOW at The Green Room 42

Real-life identical twins Ian Fairlee and Matthew Fairlee will bring their collective talents to THE VERY GOOD SHOW, their debut cabaret at The Green Room 42 on Feb. 23, 2019 at 9:30 p.m. The Fairlees are known for their roles together off-Broadway in THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE and separately off-Broadway in THE UNDERCLASSMAN (Ian) and MEDICINE THE MUSICAL (Matthew).

For THE VERY GOOD SHOW, the twins will combine their scene-stealing ways to collaborate on musical theatre favorites from shows like SIDE SHOW and DEAR EVAN HANSEN, as well as on pop hits by Jason Mraz, Pink, and Jay Brannan, to name a few. The Fairlees promise a show that's both perfectly "twinning," and surprisingly unexpected.

THE VERY GOOD SHOW is written and produced by Ian Fairlee and Matthew Fairlee, with music direction by Nick Wilders. The show plays The Green Room 42 (570 Tenth Ave - 4th Floor inside YOTEL) on February 23 at 9:30 p.m. There is a $20-$60 cover charge and no food/beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.thegreenroom42.com.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Natives of Southern California and veterans of summer stock, theme park and regional theatre stages across the country, Ian Fairlee and Matthew Fairlee have earned critical raves both individually and together. Lou Bernard of The Lock Haven Express once wrote, "Much of the show is simply stolen by [Matthew] Fairlee, who displays an amazing versatility as he works his way through each scene." April Olsen of Up and Coming Weekly (Fayetteville, NC) once wrote, "Quite frankly, [Ian] Fairlee stole the show with his energy." And Jacquelyn Claire of stagebiz.com once wrote "Real life twins Ian and Matthew Fairlee enlivened the stage with their antics and seemed to be lit from inside with an infectious joy."

In addition to appearing in the Off-Broadway production of THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE (Musicals Tonight) as Dromio of Ephesus alongside Matthew, Ian previously appeared Off-Broadway in THE UNDERCLASSMAN (Prospect Theatre Company) and FOOLERIE (NYMF). In early 2019, Ian will be featured on the concept album for Ryan Scott Oliver's newest musical THREE POINTS OF CONTACT. Previously, Ian earned rave reviews and was named Best Featured Actor in a Musical by BroadwayWorld.com Raleigh for playing Jerry Lee Lewis in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at Theatre Raleigh and Cape Fear Regional Theatre. He also played Lewis in MDQ at New Stage Theatre in Jackson MS.
Matthew Fairlee has appeared in professional theatrical productions from coast to coast, including the recent Off-Broadway show MEDICINE THE MUSICAL. Alongside Ian, Matthew played Dromio of Syracuse in THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE at the Lion Theatre on NYC's Theatre Row. Prior to that, he was in the national tour of JUNIE B'S ESSENTIAL SURVIVAL GUIDE TO SCHOOL (Theatreworks USA) and starred in the regional premiere of MY VAUDEVILLE MAN at The Millbrook Playhouse.

On the small screen, the Fairlee twins appeared as show choir members in a memorable Courtney Cox flashback on an episode of COUGARTOWN. They also played the "lost baby on the subway" in a beloved and unforgettable episode of THE NANNY.
"We've been show folk since infancy and we're ready to take the New York Theatre world by storm with THE VERY GOOD SHOW," Matthew said. "And get some great videos for Youtube while we're at it," Ian added.
