Comedian and TV star Tracy Morgan did not attend the SNL 40th Anniversary special, so his friends and colleagues Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey paid him tribute on the show. However, Morgan has said he is not ready to watch it yet.

The tribute include a clip of Morgan's most famous SNL character, Brian Fellows.

Morgan recently sustained severe injuries in a car accident, which rendered him unable to attend the SNL 40th Anniversary special. The actor has said that though he was "incredibly moved" that his former 30 ROCK stars would pay him homage, he does not have the emotional capacity to actually watch the clip at the moment.

Tracy Morgan is an American actor and comedian best known for his eight seasons as a cast member on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (1996-2003) and for his role as Tracy Jordan in the comedy series 30 ROCK (seven seasons, from 2006-2013). He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2009 for his work on 30 Rock. He has appeared in numerous films as an actor and as a voice talent.

Morgan was born in New York and raised in a public housing complex known as the Marcy Houses, or "Marcy Projects," in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

In June 2014, Morgan was riding as a passenger in a vehicle that was hit in a multi-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike. The accident involved a collision with a Walmart tractor-trailer truck. In Morgan's vehicle one passenger was killed and Morgan was seriously injured. Since the accident, Morgan has been using a wheelchair and a cane and undergoes daily speech, cognitive, occupational, and physical therapies.
