Tony Nominee Jeremy Shamos Set for Major Recurring Role on Showtime's NURSE JACKIE

Deadline reports that Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos has signed on for a major recurring role in the upocming 7th season of Showtime's NURSE JACKIE.

The actor will portray Anders Carlsson, described as "a Norwegian real estate developer who becomes both an ally and antagonist to Jackie (Edie Falco). Shamos, who earned a Tony nominee for his performance in Broadway's Clybourne Park, will appear in a minimum of four episodes. The actor can currently be seen on the big screen in the Broadway-themed film Birdman opposite Michael Keaton and Emma Stone. He will soon appear in Woody Allen's Magic In The Moonlight.

Obie award winner and Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, Lortel nominee Jeremy Shamos starred in the Broadway production of The Assembled Parties. Prior Broadway includes Glengarry Glen Ross, Clybourne Park ( Tony, Drama League noms), Elling, Reckless and The Rivals. Jeremy's film and television work includes the upcoming Birdman, Taking Woodstock, Dedication, The Rebound, Trust the Man, Damages, The Michael Showalter Showalter; FRINGE and L&O Criminal Intent. Shamos graduated with an MFA from NYU Graduate School of Acting and currently resides in New York with his family.
