Telemundo Deportes Names Multi-Platinum J Balvin & Michael Brun's POSITIVO Official Song for 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

Telemundo Deportes, the exclusive Spanish-language home of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ in the U.S., announced that J Balvin and Michael Brun's "Positivo" will serve as the official pop song for the network's coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. The song debuted in a video tease during the 2018 Billboard Latin Music Awards on April 26. The full version of "Positivo" will be released worldwide on Monday, April 30.

"I am very grateful. Music represents union and tolerance, and it's because of music that I had the opportunity to work with Telemundo on the network's official song for the World Cup," said J Balvin.

Telemundo Deportes' collaboration with the Billboard Latin Music Award and Latin Grammy Award-winning Super Star J Balvin and the rapidly rising Haitian producer Michael Brun is rooted in the passion for fútbol. Through "Positivo," the network aims to unite all soccer fans and invite them to live and celebrate this 2018 FIFA World Cup™ together.

"Music and fútbol go hand-in-hand as fans of both gather and cheer for their heroes like nothing else on earth," said Bill Bergofin, senior vice president of brand and content, Telemundo Deportes. "We couldn't ask for better partners than J Balvin and Michael Brun to bring both together and give fans an anthem to celebrate the World Cup coming to Telemundo this summer."

"Positivo" aligns with the overall concept and message behind Telemundo Deportes' multiplatform marketing campaign that aims to rally Latinos across the country around the most anticipated, global sporting event - the FIFA World Cup Russia™. The song will be used across Telemundo, Universo and all Telemundo Deportes digital platforms, including versions produced exclusively for social media leading up to and around the coverage of the World Cup.

Telemundo's complete coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ from Russia will kick off with a special on Wednesday, June 13 and will continue with live coverage of all 64 games through the World Cup final on Sunday, July 15.
