Premier touchscreen entertainment network Scopely has partnered with THE WALKING DEAD series creator Robert Kirkman and Skybound to create The Walking Dead: Road to Survival, the first free-to-play mobile game based on the wildly popular graphic novels. Players quickly dive into an epic series of head-to-head battles, tournaments and struggles of survival as they join forces with friends to create player alliances with a worldwide community of fellow gamers battling each other for resources and notoriety. The dark, gritty role-playing game stays true to the series' origins, closely overseen by Robert Kirkman and a creative team who are heavily involved in the world of The Walking Dead.
"Working with the Scopely team, we've had the unique opportunity to translate THE WALKING DEAD story into a deeply interactive and engaging mobile experience," said Kirkman. "The game design, the aesthetic, the tone and the writing have all come together in an authentic way that we know Walking Dead fans will love." The Walking Dead: Road to Survival is a mature, intense, story-driven game that emulates the ongoing struggle to survive in a harsh and unforgiving world overrun by VICIOUS Walkers and ruthless fellow survivors. Difficult decisions must be made that determine who lives or dies and how future events unfold in the game's narrative. Gamers play alongside iconic characters such as Rick, Michonne and the Governor as they navigate the challenges of collecting resources, building and fortifying their compounds, searching for and rescuing fellow survivors, all while managing to fend off the onslaught of the undead. The Walking Dead: Road to Survival is available as a free download on iOS [https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/walking-dead-road-to-survival/id969316884] and Android [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scopely.headshot] devices.
