THE HELP's Octavia Spencer & Jessica Chastain to Re-Team in New Christmas Comedy

Variety reports that THE HELP co-stars Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer will re-team for a currently untitled Christmas comedy from Universal Studios. Chastain penned the treatment for the movie alongside Kelly Carmichael. Peter Chiarelli will write into the full script.

The duo will star in the film which follows "two women fighting the elements to make it home for Christmas."

Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain co-starred in 2011's THE HELP. Both actors received Oscar nominations for the Best Supporting Actress, with Spencer taking home the trophy. Chastain has since been nominated for 2012's ZERO DARK THIRTY and Spencer being nominated for 2016's HIDDEN FIGURES. This year, Chastian received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in MOLLY'S GAME. Spencer was also recognized by the Globes for her role in THE SHAPE OF WATER.
