In honor of "Babylon," SundanceTV's highly anticipated original series from Executive Producer Danny Boyle, the network is featuring an evening-long celebration of the renowned director, including the original long form episode that inspired the SundanceTV Original Series of the same name.

The long form feature will air tonight, September 25 at 10pm ET/PT. It is directed by Danny Boyle and written by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show, The Old Guys, Fresh Meat). It is created and executive produced by Jesse Armstrong, Sam Bain, Danny Boyle and Robert Jones (The Usual Suspects, Dirty Pretty Things) through Nightjack Ltd with the UK's Channel 4. Jones and Derrin Schlesinger (Southcliffe, Four Lions) produce.

The network announced earlier this year the greenlight of the six part original series, in partnership with Nightjack Ltd and Channel 4.

Sarah Barnett, President of SundanceTV, stated, "Danny Boyle is an extraordinary creative powerhouse. 'Babylon' is his darkly funny vision, and the unique style and energetic storytelling will, we hope, delight audiences. In advance of launching his original TV series next year, we are excited to host a night of his work on SundanceTV."

"Babylon," touted as "hilarious" and "unsettling" when it aired in the UK, is a biting workplace satire set inside a modern police force and stars Brit Marling (I Origins, Another Earth, Sound of My Voice), James Nesbitt (The Hobbit, Millions, The Missing) and Paterson Joseph (Peep Show, Law and Order UK). Brit Marling plays Liz Garvey, a new-media savvy American who's parachuted in to revolutionize the public relations department of London's largest police force. She's an earnest executive who attempts to modernize the culture only to discover her certainties shattered and herself undermined in the murky realpolitik of contemporary policing. The series balances the clash of cultures and age, the embrace of transparency and technology and THE STRAIN of home and work life with a mix of drama and humor.

SundanceTV will also air Boyle's dramatic thriller "The Beach," starring Leonardo DiCaprio, September 25, at 5pm and 7:30pm ET/PT. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, the film centers on twenty-something Richard who travels to Thailand and finds himself in possession of a strange map. Rumors indicate that it leads to a solitary beach paradise, a tropical bliss - excited and intrigued, he sets out to find it.

"Babylon," the original series, will premiere in 2015 and joins SundanceTV's original scripted programming slate which includes "The Honorable Woman," "One Child," "Rectify" and "The Red Road."
