EXCERPT: The Story Behind George Hamilton's Legendary Tan
Oprah sits down with Hollywood icon George Hamilton, whose perpetual tan has been a vital part of his persona for more than six decades. Hamilton opens up about the suave "George Hamilton character" he created and what differentiates the real man from the myths, as well as his personal creed for living and why he simply doesn't make plans. A personal tour of his penthouse home and extensive wardrobe reveals a massive vintage shoe collection that spans more than 50 years of Hollywood history. Next, Morgan Fairchild has played the glamorous vixen role in a film and TV career for over four decades. Over lunch with a lifelong friend, she talks openly about how her looks have influenced her career, thoughts on plastic surgery, and the key to longevity in show business. Plus, growing up the son of Aaron Spelling and in the famed 56,000 square foot "Spelling Manor," Randy Spelling was surrounded with opulence and success in a fairytale world few can imagine. Now, he reveals his surprising post-acting profession and how he discovered joy in living a normal life far from Beverly Hills and its famous zip code. Spelling opens up about his relationship with sister Tori, the substance abuse that plagued his '20s, and his famous father's will. Finally, the drummer and singer of what is arguably the first pre-fab mega-successful boy band, The Monkees, Micky Dolenz invites cameras to join him at his home. Dolenz talks about the traumatic and personal loss he suffered with bandmate Davy Jones' passing, and how The Monkees' music continues to delight fans. Plus, he introduces his wife, the woman whom he drove across the country for and more about his romantic proposal. More "Oprah" show updates with the mom who admitted to her painkiller addiction on-camera, and the rock 'n' roll couple who underwent a massive makeover.
