SHOWTIME Honored With 8 Golden Globe Nominations

SHOWTIME was honored with eight Golden Globe nominations this morning, the most series nominations for any network (cable or broadcast), tied with premium channel HBO. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association lauded a number of the network's freshman series including EPISODES, THE BORGIAS, and the critically acclaimed hit series HOMELAND. The highest-rated freshman series in SHOWTIME history, HOMELAND received three Golden Globe nominations, the most for any new series this year.

The network's eight Golden Globe nominations all in major categories, include series nominations for HOMELAND and EPISODES, and lead actor nominations for Claire Danes, Laura Linney, Damian Lewis, Matt LeBlanc, Jeremy Irons and David Duchovny,. The full list of SHOWTIME nominees:

- Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy:

Laura Linney as Cathy Jamison in THE BIG C. Linney won the Golden Globe earlier this year for her work on THE BIG C.

- Best Actor, TV Series Comedy:

o David Duchovny as Hank Moody in CALIFORNICATION

o MATT LeBLANC as Matt LeBlanc in EPISODES

The 69th AnnuAl Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Ricky Gervais, will air on Sunday, January 15, 2012, LIVE coast-to-coast from Los Angeles. The 69th AnnuAl Golden Globe Awards will be seen in more than 160 countries and is produced by Dick Clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
