Kevin Hart and STXfilms have teamed up to release two Hart comedy projects into its development, according to Deadline.
This comes after Hart's successful STXfilms film, The Upside, which opened with $20.4 million and at number one at the box office.
This comes after Deadline recently reported that Hart's next film, Fatherhood, will be produced by Sony after he completes filming on the Sony sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
STX Entertainment announced a partnership with HartBeat Productions to produce two new comedy projects. STX had approached Hart and Hartbeat Productions' President of Film/TV John Cheng with two pitches. The first pitch was titled Black Friday and is described as "a body switching comedy based on a story by Doan La." The second is an untitled, international romantic comedy.
Hart and Cheng will produce both projects and HartBeat's Carli Haney will oversee with STXfilms' SVP of Production Drew Simon as a part of the deal.
