Rory Kennedy's LAST DAYS IN VIETNAM to Air on Detroit Public TV Next Month; Sets 2 Public Screenings

There have been many movies and documentaries produced about the war in Vietnam, but none as inspiring and heart-wrenching as Rory Kennedy's Oscar-nominated film, Last Days in Vietnam, airing on Detroit Public Television/Ch. 56 on April 28 at 9 p.m. Presented by American Experience, the film tells the story of the final evacuation -- those who escaped and those who were left behind.

Join Detroit Public Television (DPTV) and our partners at the Michigan Theatre and the Detroit Film Theatre for a preview of the film and panel presentations by renowned experts.

The screening at the Michigan Theatre, 603 W. Liberty Street in Ann Arbor, will take place Tuesday, March 31 from 7-9 p.m. Colonel Ronald Shun, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army's TACOM's Life Cycle Mission Command will lead a panel presentation followed by Q&A.

The second screening will be held on Thursday, April 2 from 7-9 p.m. at the Detroit Film Theatre, 5200 Woodward Avenue. Randy Talbot, Command Historian at the US Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command will lead that panel followed by a Q&A.
