Romantic Comedy THE SECOND TIME AROUND Opens 12/14 in LA

First Run Features is pleased to announce theLos Angeles theatrical premiere of The Second Time Around, a new film directed by Leon Marr. The film will open at Laemmle's Town Center 5 on December 14, 2018.

Katherine Mitchell (Linda Thorson), a widowed yet vibrant senior, wasn't looking

for love a second time - not at her age, and certainly not with grumpy Isaac Shapiro (Stuart Margolin).

Despite the nosey bunch of seniors in the residence where Katherine convalesces after breaking her hip, she and Isaac warm to each other over their shared love of music. Against unforeseen obstacles, their love blooms and together they set out to fulfill Katherine's lifelong dream of going to the opera in Milan.

Leon Marr is the Director, Co-Writer, and Co-Producer of the feature film, THE SECOND TIME AROUND. Based in Toronto, he has been working in the business for over forty years. He is internationally recognized for his acclaimed first feature film, DANCING IN THE DARK (1986), which was the Official Selection at Cannes Directors' Fortnight, Toronto, New York, and twenty other festivals around the world; as well as the winner of three Genie Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay. Aside from writing and developing numerous feature film projects, he has also directed various television series.
