Pioneering Transgender Filmmaker MR. ANGEL Coming to DVD, 12/3

QC Cinema is proud to declare the December 3rd DVD release of Mr. Angel, a documentary by Dan Hunt tracking the larger than life story of porn maverick Buck Angel.

Featuring interviews with talk show host Tyra Banks, author and columnist Dan Savage, sexologists Lux Alptraum and Tristan Taormino, porn mogul Michael Lucas and actress/AVN winner Sasha Grey, Mr. Angel premiered at the 2013 South by Southwest Film Festival, and has shocked and touched audiences across the globe at Philadelphia QFest, Atlanta LGBT Film Festival, Inside Out Toronto, Rio International Film Festival, London Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and many more.

Produced over the course of six years, Mr. Angel chronicles the extraordinary life of transgender advocate, educator and porn pioneer, Buck Angel. Buck has survived addiction, homelessness, suicide and relentless opposition to his gender expression. Still, he lives his truth without compromise or apology. This feature-length documentary explores Buck's moving story to understand the complexities of someone who overcame incredible obstacles, found true love with renowned body piercer Elayne Angel, then shamelessly sought the spotlight and its backlash, to share his message of empowerment. Mr. Angel is an inspirational story of rare perseverance and an unlikely hero.
