A promise is a promise! Recently crowned American Idol Season XIII champ Caleb Johnson escorted runner-up Jena Irene Asciutto to her North Farmington High School prom, held Wednesday night. Check out the photo of the handsome couple at left!
Asciutto told WWJ CBS radio in Detroit, "He's an awesome guy. We've been best friends for a couple months now. To bring him to meet all my friends is pretty cool." She added that the besties grew close during their time together on the singing competition and decided early on that they would attend her prom together. "It was a joke at first," said the talented singer. "My mom was joking about it and I was like, 'Huh, that could be fun.' And then we ended up being the last two so I'm like, 'Do you want to just go to prom together,' and he's like, 'All right, lets do it,' and it happened." The duo will have plenty of time together as they traverse the country for this year's American Idol tour, launching on June 24th in Binghamton, New York.Photo courtesy of Jena Irene
