Patrick Stewart Cast as Bosley in CHARLIE'S ANGELS

Patrick Stewart is set to star as Bosley in Elizabeth Banks' reboot of Charlie's Angels, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and newcomer Ella Balinska as the Angels. Banks will direct, produce, and star in the Sony film.

The reboot takes the female-fronted detective agency premise of the original 1976-1981 TV series and 2000 and 2003 movies global, with the Townsend Agency now a security and intelligence service that has teams around the world. The movie will focus on one of those teams and the next generation of Angels.

In a twist on the previous Charlie's Angels', the film seems to have multiple characters named Bosley, with Banks and Stewart playing Bosley.

Banks and Jay Basu wrote the script, working off of Craig Mazin and Semi Chellas' earlier drafts.

The film is set to be released on September 27, 2019.

Stewart is best known for his roles in Star Trek as Star Fleet captain Jean-Luc Picard and as Professor X in the X-Men series. He will be seen next in The Boy Who Would Be King.
