PaleyFest Rewind Classic TV Festival Ends 6/21

The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills will host evenings celebrating the 45th anniversary of Rodgers & Hammerstein's iconic1965 television production of Cinderella starring Lesley Ann Warren and a salute to the innovative 1960's television musical comedy series That's Life which starred Robert Morse (Mad Men) and E.J. Peaker (Hello Dolly) as part of it inaugural PaleyFest Rewind Classic TV Festival. Held at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills from June 15 through 21, the week-long festival will feature cast reunions, world premieres, rare archive screenings, and more. The Cinderella salute, scheduled for June 15, will serve as the festival's opening night event and will feature a screening of the television classic which also starred Ginger Rogers, Walter Pidgeon, Celeste Holm, Pat Carroll and Stuart Damon. The program became an annual television event during the decade following its premiere and has delighted generations of fans. An on- stage conversation with the production's star Lesley Ann Warren will follow the program.

With Glee currently dominating the television landscape, the Center will take a look at the ambitious 60's musical series That's Life on Friday June 18 with a screening of an episode, unseen for nearly four decades, followed by and a special in-person Q&A with stars Robert Morse & E.J. Peaker. Critically acclaimed during its original 1968-1969 broadcast run, the series was nominated for an Emmy Award as Outstanding Variety or Musical Series. Created by Marvin Marx, the hour-long program which played like a weekly televised Broadway show, followed the lives of a newly married couple, played by Morse and Peaker, through comedy sketches, monologues, songs, and dances choreographed by Tony Mordente. During it run, the series hosted guest stars including Sid Caesar, the Muppets, Louis Armstrong, Liza Minnelli, Goldie Hawn, Tony Randall, George Burns, Tim Conway, Paul Lynde, Michele Lee, Totie Fields and Ethel Merman.

Additional PaleyFest Rewind events include a cast reunion of the groundbreaking series Room 222 featuring series stars including Denise Nicholas, Karen Valentine, David Jolliffe and Judy Strangis, a salute to the 50th anniversary of My Three Sons with members of the cast including Barry Livingston, Stanley Livingston & Tina Cole in person, a Leave it to Beaver reunion with Jerry Mathers, Tony Dow, Ken Osmond and Frank Bank, plus archive screenings of rare series including Love on a Rooftop with Peter Deuel and Judy Carne and the Mothers-In-Law starring Eve Arden and Kaye Ballard.

The festival is also pleased to host the world premiere of legendary entertainment reporter Rona Barrett's new one-woman show, "Rona Barrett: Nothing But the Truth" on June 17. This special performance will feature clips of Barrett interviewing famous celebrities such as Cher, Bette Davis, Carol Burnett and John Wayne as well as anecdotes from her personal inspirational journey to Hollywood.
