Stephen K. Bannon, President Donald Trump's chief strategist until a few weeks ago, will appear in his first television interview on this Sunday's 60 MINUTES (7:00-8:00 PM) on the CBS Television Network. Bannon met Charlie Rose today (6) in Washington to speak in his first extended interview since he left his post August 18.

Other segments on Sunday's show will include:

THE STORM AFTER THE STORM- Sharyn Alfonsi investigates allegations that thousands of homeowners were denied their flood insurance claims after Hurricane Sandy because of fraudulent engineers' reports. Oriana Zill de Granados and Michael Rey are the producers.

ENHANCING THE BIKE - Have secret motors been used to cheat in professional cycling? Bill Whitaker leads a 60 MINUTES investigation into mechanical cheating in a sport already infamous for its doping scandals. Michael Rey and Oriana Zill de Granados are the producers.

NEW KID ON THE STREET - Lesley Stahl visits the set of the pioneering children's television program SESAME STREET and interacts with its iconic Muppets. Shari Finkelstein is the producer.

These previously broadcast stories have been updated for this summer edition of 60 MINUTES.

60 MINUTES, the most successful television broadcast in history, began its 49th season in September 2016. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast begun in 1968 is still a hit in 2016, making Nielsen's Top 10 nearly every week. Over the 2015-2016 season, 60 MINUTES continued its dominance as the number-one news program, drawing an average of 12.3 million viewers per week - almost twice the audience of its nearest network news magazine competitor and three million viewers ahead of the most-watched daily network evening news broadcast. The average audience for a 60 MINUTES broadcast still dwarfs the biggest audiences drawn by cable news programs.
