Oliver Platt Joins Dan Stevens in Upcoming Drama THE TICKET

Deadline reports that Oliver Platt (Broadway's Guys and Dolls), has signed on to the cast of the upcoming drama THE TICKET. The actor joins previously announced cast members Dan Stevens, Malin Akerman and Kerry Bishé. Lawrence Inglee will produce alongside Oren Moverman for Inglee's Blackbird Films.

Written and driected by Ido Fluk, the film follows James (Stevens), "a blind man who regains his sight only to be blinded by his obsession with the superficial."

Platt will take on the role of his best friend Bob who must deal with the unusual consequences of James' regained sight.

The actor's Broadway credits include Shining City and Guys and Dolls. He is well known for his film and TV career, including roles in "Fargo," "The Big C" and "The West Wing." He can currently be seen on the big screen in the new comedy 'Chef.'
