Best-selling author E.L. James has finally revealed who will take on the lead role of 'Anastasia' in the big screen adaptation of her steamy novel, 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' The author took to Twitter to announce that Dakota Johnson has been cast in the role, posting:

"I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."

Later on, the author released further casting news, revealing that actor Charlie Hunnam will portray Christian Grey, 'the billionaire sex machine' in the film:

"The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey," she tweeted.

Johnson, a 23-year-old former model, was previously seen in the Oscar nominated 'The Social Network' as well as FOX's short-lived comedy Ben and Kate. She is the daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.

22-year-old Hunnam stars in the FX drama series Sons of Anarchy, returning to the network on September 10. He was recently seen on the big screen in the sci-film Pacific Rim.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Watson were among the many names rumored to be in talks for the adaptation of E L James's best-selling novel.
