Newton & Diamantopoulos Announce Pregnancy; 'Love Bites' Moved to NBC's Midseason

NBC is bumping back Becki Newton's new comedy, 'Love Bites' to  midseason, USA Today reports, as the Ugly Betty/Girl Crazy star is is expecting her first child with husband (and Girl Crazy co-star Chris Diamantopoulos). Explains Vernon Sanders, executive vice president of current programming, "she plays a virgin, so we have to make adjustments to that." 

In addition, actress Jordana Spiro is leaving the show, due to conflicts with her role on 'My Boys.' Cindy Chupack has also stepped now from her role as executive producer, although she will write for the show.

Actors Greg Grunberg and Constance Zimmer are to join 'Love Bites' in the roles of a married couple, USA Today reports.

Until 'Love Bites' is ready to air, NBC will show a new edition of 'The Apprentice' on Thursdays at 10pm.
