Variety reports that Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, creators of the hit CBS comedy HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, are once again teaming with the network on a new comedy pilot.
Currently untitled, the project will center on "Izzy and Chris, two 20-somethings who are raising their newborn daughter and merging their loud families - one Puerto Rican, one Italian."
The duo will pen the pilot with co-writer Chris Distefano, who inspired the project. All three will serve as executive producers on the potential series, alongside Brian Bockrath. Bays and Thomas' HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER first debuted on CBS in 2005. The series enjoyed a long run, signing off the air in 2014. Neil Patrick Harris and Josh Radnor starred.
