Netflix Announces New Romantic Comedy SOMEONE GREAT, Starring & Produced By Gina Rodriguez

According to Variety, Gina Rodriguez is set to star in and produce a new romantic comedy entitled SOMEONE GREAT. The film has a script from Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who is also set to direct. Read more about it from Variety here!

Gina Rodriguez is a Golden Globe winning actress, writer, producer and model. She is best know for her role as the title character on The CW's JANE THE VIRGIN, for which she has been nominated for three Golden Globes for best actress. She is also known for her work in films such as ANNIHILATION, FERDINAND, and DEEPWATER HORIZON.

In addition to this upcoming project with Netflix, Gina Rodriguez will lend her voice to the title character in the streaming services' new animated kids series CARMEN SANDIEGO. The series is coming in 2019. In the upcoming animated series produced by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Carmen Sandiego is back and ready for a new crop of international capers packed with thrilling adventure and intrigue. This fresh take presents an intimate look into Carmen's past where viewers will not only follow her escapades but also learn WHO in the world is Carmen Sandiego and WHY she became a super thief.
