According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nat Faxon has signed on as a guest star for NBC's new comedy MARRY ME from David Caspe (HAPPY ENDINGS).

MARRY ME's official description reads: "Six years ago, Annie (Wilson) and Jake (Ken Marino) bonded over their mutual love of nachos and they've been inseparable ever since. Now, after returning from a romantic two-week island vacation, Jake's all set to pop the question. Before he can ask, though, Annie lets loose on Jake for his inability to commit. Not wanting to spend the next 60 years talking about that mess of a proposal, Jake and Annie decide to hold off on the engagement until they can do it right. Yet if history tells us anything, it's when we really want things to go right that they all tend to go wrong. The only thing we know for sure is these two are destined to be together whether they can get it together or not."

Casey Wilson, engaged to Caspe, will star in the project as 'Annie'. The cast also features Sarah Wright, John Gemberling, Tymberlee Hill and Tim Meadows.

Faxon will play 'Scooby', Wilson and her father's cousin, "in a Bride Wars-themed episode" aiming for a December air-date and set to center on Annie (Wilson) and "her newly engaged father", played by Dan Bucatinsky. The pair finds out "that their awesome cousin Scooby can only take off work to attend one of their weddings."

Faxon apparently has weddings on the brain -- he currently stars in FX's MARRIED with Judy Greer. His past TV credits include BEN AND KATE and TROPHY WIFE. Faxon recently appeared on the big screen in SEX TAPE and TAMMY. He won an Academy Award for his screenplay for THE DESCENDANTS.

MARRY ME will premiere on Thursday, October 14 on NBC.
