According to today's rating's reports, NBC's presentation of the 69th AnnuAl Golden Globe awards showed a drop in the ratings this year.  The awards show delivered 16.8 million viewers and a 5.0 rating among adults 18-49. That's down 4 percent from last year in the key adult demographic, though off only 1 percent among total viewers.

Overall, viewship for the Golden Globes remained steady during the broadcast. The award's ceremony marks NBC's highest non-sports telecast in the slot since last year's telecast of the Globes.

Emmy Award winner Ricky Gervais ("The Office," "The Ricky Gervais Show") hosted the award's ceremony for the third time on the NBC network. This year's show was broadcast live coast-to-coast from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

The ceremony was seen in more than 160 countries worldwide and is one of the few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements. The special was produced by Dick Clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
