NBC Picks Up Ryan Murphy's New Sitcom THE NEW NORMAL, Starring Andrew Rannells & Justin Bartha

According to the Hollywood Reporter, NBC has just picked up GLEE producer Ryan Murphy's new series 'The New Normal.' GLEE writer Ali Adler is on board to write for the show.

The show stars Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells as a gay couple who form a family with a surrogate. NBC is considering an August 2012 release, on the tails of the Summer Olympics. Andrew Rannells is slated to perform in Broadway's Book of Mormon through spring 2013. Tony winner Ellen Barkin and NeNe Leakes are set to costar.
