Musical Mentor Kany Garcia Featured on Telemundo's BUSCANDO MI RITMO

"Buscando Mi Ritmo," Telemundo's music competition that premiered last Saturday July 19, was full of stars, excitement and many surprises. Hosted by Gaby Espino, with Erika Ender and Humberto "El Gato' Rodríguez as judges, the four contestants (Tali Duclaud, Eli Jas, José Guillermo Cortines and Lino Martone), the four music bands (Odas, Los Hollywood, Avenida Zero and Bachaco), were guided by award-winning singer-songwriter Kany García, who served as mentor and performed samples of the songs that participants executed at the end of the final challenge.
During the first competition of "Buscando Mi Ritmo," known as "Do de Pecho,' contestants competed to pick a song by Kany, they wished to perform. In this challenge, Lino Martone won and received $2,000 for his charity of choice, St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Prior to the final challenge, each contestant rehearsed with their respective bands alongside Kany, who offered tips on how to improve their musical skills and stage presence. These were the results: Lino and his band Los Hollywood performed "Alguien" and obtained 19 points from the judgesTali and Odas performed "¿Qué Nos Pasó?" and received 22 points
Eli Jas and Avenida Zero performed "Hoy Ya Me Voy" and got 22 points
José Guillermo and Bachaco performed "Que Te Vaya Mal" and obtained the highest score from the judges with 26 points The judges' ranking will be added to the viewer's voting through Telemundo.com/BuscandoMiRitmo, which launched last Saturday at 7pm ET and closed yesterday (Sunday) at 7pm ET. The participant with the highest combined score of both the judges and the viewers, will have the opportunity to choose his/her favorite band during the next episode airing Saturday, July 26, featuring popular Mexican music star Diana Reyes as mentor.
