More Details Revealed for GLEE Season 4

TVGuide.com has revealed more details on the upcoming fourth season of GLEE, set to return to the FOX line up on Thursday, September 13.

As previously reported, actresses Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker are set to join the cast this season. Hudson will portray a "hard-ass New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts dance instructor, pitting her against new student Rachel (Michele). Says Michele, "dance is not Rachel's strong point, but as a freshman it's a requirement class she has to take. It will put Rachel in a very vulnerable place, stuck with a teacher who doesn't make it easy for her." 

Cory Monteith shared news of his character Finn, who will heading for Army boot camp when the show returns. The actor revealed that he is currently in training to be in shape for the challenge. "Finn would have to be in very good shape and get incredibly fit, meaning I would have to be incredibly fit," says the actor. "I'm doing extra stuff this summer — CrossFit and fewer Snickers bars."

Chris Colfer's Kurt will also join high school pal Rachel in New York City this season. While he was rejected from NYADA, the actor noted that "he will find himself in an establishment where Sarah Jessica Parker is his manager of sorts, but not in a performance sense." 

TVGuide also reports that Parker's character may be giving Rachel a makeover during the upcoming season. Jokes Colfer, "Lea's a hot girl, [but] Rachel could lose the baby-doll dresses."
