The script was originally passed on by NBC. Along with executive producer Kaling, the cast will include her Office co-star BJ Novak.

FOX has also picked up Dana Fox’s BEN & KATE, originally titled "Ben Fox Is My Manny", from 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment. The pilot was directed by Jake Kasdan and follows "a free spirited guy (Nat Faxon) who, under the guise of being his niece’s nanny, moves in with his type “A,” tightly wound sister (Dakota Johnson) and in the process will help her re-enter the world."

Also on tap for the network's schedule, THE GOODWIN GAMES, from How I Met Your Mother‘s Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Chris Harris. The show, from 20th TV, is described as a family comedy about "a father who leaves his fortune to his 3 children only if they agree to his terms." The series will star Becki Newton and Scott Foley.
