Michael Rispoli to Join Kirstie Alley Comedy THE MANZANIS on ABC

Digital Spy reports that actor Michael Rispoli is set to join the upcoming Kirstie Alley pilot THE MANZANIS for ABC.

The project tells the story of a family who conflicts  with their neighbors in a quiet suburban New Jersey town. Alley will play the lead role of the matriarch of the Manzani family, Angela, and Rispoli will star as her husband Nick. Also in the cast are actors Robert Costanzo, from the film Saturday Night Fever, playing Nick's father Joe, and Cheer's alum Rhea Perlman, as Joe's wife Camille.

Rispoli's past TV credits include The Sopranos, Third Watch and The Black Donnellys. He is currently set to star in Starz's new drama series Magic City.
