Variety reports that High School Musical star Zac Efron's turn in the Richard Linklater helmed "Me and Orson Welles" co-starring Claire Danes will be released November 25th.

Efron stars in Linklater's "Me and Orson Welles", about the making of the Mercury Theater production of Julius Caesar. Stage and film stars Claire Danes, Ben Chaplin and Kelly Reilly will head the cast. Welles will be portrayed by ChristIan McKay, who previously starred as the legendary actor-director in the play Rosebud.

The screenplay by Holly Gent Palmo and Vince Palmo is based on Robert Kaplow's novel.

Efron recently appeared in the film version of Hairspray and was last seen opposite Matthew Perry in 17 Again.
