Deadline reports that White Collar star Matt Bomer will guest star on Ryan Murphy's new NBC comedy THE NEW NORMAL. Bomer will join cast members Andrew Rannells, Justin Bartha and Ellen Barkin on the comedy which follows a Los Angeles gay couple in a committed, loving partnership who plan to have a baby through a surrogate mother.

The actor guest starred in Murphy's musical drama series Glee last season, playing the brother of Darren Criss. According to Murphy, Bomer will portray the “sexy ex-boyfriend” of Bryan (Rannells), the gay co-lead character, which is based on Murphy. The New Normal recently received a full-season order from NBC.

Bomer was recently cast in Ryan Murphy's upcoming film adaptation of Larry Kramer's award-winning play 'The Normal Heart' along with actors Julia Roberts and Jim Parsons. He also appeared in the one-night-only reading of Dustin Lance Black's Prop 8-themed play, 8.
