Matt Bomer, Eva Marie Saint Join Cast of WINTER'S TALE

Deadline.com reports that Matt Bomer, Lucy Griffiths and Eva Marie Saint have signed on for Akiva Goldsman's upcoming film WINTER'S TALE from Warner Bros. The actors join previously announced cast members Colin Farrell, Downton Abbey's Jessica Brown Findlay, William Hurt, Will Smith and Russell Crowe on the film which marks Goldsman's directorial debut. Marc Platt and Michael Tadross are producing.

Winter's Tale is based on the novel by Mark Helprin which follows, "a dying young woman (Findlay) who falls in love with a thief who breaks into her palatial home on the West Side of Manhattan, in a drama that takes place in 19th century and contemporary Manhattan." Bomer will take on the role of the thief's father while Griffiths will portray the mother. No details have been released as to the role that Marie Saint will take on. 

Academy Award-winning actress Eva Marie Saint has appeared in such films as North By Northwest and more recently in 2006's Superman Returns. White Collar star Matt Bomer Bomer was recently cast in Ryan Murphy's upcoming film adaptation of Larry Kramer's award-winning play 'The Normal Heart' along with actors Julia Roberts and Jim Parsons. He also appeared in the one-night-only reading of Dustin Lance Black's Prop 8-themed play, 8.

Production on Winter's Tale is set to begin on October 27 in New York City.
